Welcome. Make your optional $300 AMC payment if you plan to buy a season pass and/or enjoy resort member benefits beginning in May 2015.

Members please follow this process to pay your AMC:

A. Please make your AMC payment either in person at the mountain's Season Pass office or using by using the Bear Valley eStore.

B. Your AMC payment will generate a voucher in your eStore profile that can be applied toward your 15/16 pass, lockers,  or other eligible purchases. AMC vouchers are valid from April 1st, 2015 through March 31st, 2016.

C. If you do not apply it toward a new Bear Valley Season Pass, then the AMC will remain in your profile as a credit voucher for other purchases.

D. Beginning April 1 you will receive an email from the mountain with information to enable you to purchase items on the E-store with  your co-op discount. Please look for that email in April.

AMC Background:

As Co-op members, and together with Skyline, we are all helping to build the resort we want to see. The bulk of our membership fees will go to capital improvements at the mountain and in the village so that we improve and preserve the Bear Valley experience in the near future and for generations to come. We have much for which to look forward.

In return for our financial support, Skyline makes a generous benefit package available each year to members who pay the optional $300 Annual Memership Commitment (AMC.) The AMC is due each year by April 1 and the list of benefits that are open to members who pay are detailed here

The AMC payment is optional and paid directly to the resort (not the Co-op) by April 1, and only if resort benefits are desired for the upcoming season.  If you do not use the discounts and other benefits at participating businesses at the mountain or village, then you are not required to pay the AMC. You still maintain your eligibility to vote in elections for board members, and other issues put before the members. You may participate in our our annual meeting in August as well. The AMC requirement was waived for the Co-op's first year due to timing of the sale and ratification. Further detail on the AMC is available here.

Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) about the AMC:

1. If season passes are on sale now, why do I need to wait until April to use the AMC credit?

The resort uses the AMC payment as its way to validate that a given member is eligible for financial benefits in any given year. Since the bulk of season passes are sold in the pre-season sale, we expect it will be prime time for many new members to join the co-op. To simplify the process of confirming that each AMC payment comes from a valid member, the resort and Co-op will work together to validate all AMC payments from members by April 1. So if you want to buy season passes, pay your AMC in March, and then apply it against your new pass purchases in April.

2. What happens if I have already purchased my season pass for 2015-16 and I did not get my Co-op discount because the AMC was not validated yet?

You can get your pass refunded by the mountain by contacting the Season Pass Office. Then make sure you purchase the AMC in March and come back in April, either in person, or online to purchase your season pass and apply your co-op discount.

3. I purchased my AMC and I also have a child or children under 13.  Do I  need to wait until April 1 to purchase the children's passes too, since those passes are free to Co-op members with an adult season pass?

Yes. The free 13 and under children's passes are part of the benefits package. All members who pay the AMC will be validated and eligible for all benefits by April 1. Please pay your AMC in March and then purchase your passes in April with the applicable Co-op discount.

4. I am a 70+ Senior and eligible for a free pass with my AMC payment.  Do I need to wait til April 1 to get my free pass?

Yes. The free 70+ senior passes are part of the benefits package. All members who pay the AMC will be validated and eligible for all benefits by April 1. Please pay your AMC in March and then purchase your passes in April with the applicable Co-op discount.

5. I have some extra value left over on my Bear Bucks card from this year.  Can I use it to pay my AMC?

Your Bear Bucks card needs to be physically scanned to be used. This means you can only use them to purchase items at the mountain. If you pay for your AMC at the Season Pass office in March, then the Bear Bucks balance can be applied toward the AMC payment. But you will not be able to use the Bear Bucks card in the eStore.
