ABOUT BEAR VALLEY
Bear Valley Mountain Resort was purchased in 2005 with extensive plans to revitalize the mountain, village, and connect Bear Valley Lodge via a new lift. Those plans are in place, but the partnership has decided to sell the mountain. The community of Bear Valley is ready to take charge of the future of Bear Valley through community ownership. Bear Valley Ski Resort first opened as Mt. Reba Ski Bowl in 1967 and quickly added terrain and lifts to become a top notch destination in the late 60's and early 70's. In 1991 it became Bear Valley Mountain and today hosts skiers, boarders, and backcountry users with varied terrian and a family focus making Bear Valley know as the "Friendliest Mountain In The West."

With autumn’s leaves mere weeks from turning, Bear Valley Mountain Resort’s new owners have already started preparing for the upcoming ski season.
Pending the final approval of the U.S. Forest Service, which is anticipated to go through without issue, Skyline International Development Inc. is the new owner of the mountain resort.
Skyline Investments believes that a strong partnership between the Bear Valley Cooperative and Skyline is essential for the revitalization of Bear Valley because the Co-op can provide both important community-based advice and targeted financial support that will help accelerate the development of Bear Valley into an attractive and compelling year round destination resort.
